Steve Hutchins has been practicing law for over 40 years and brings this wealth of experience to his clients' cases. He formed Hutchins & Associates in 1974 with the main focus on family wealth transfer planning. The firm's stellar reputation has made him a much-sought-after attorney for numerous clients in a variety of fields, including Fortune 500 executives, celebrities, agricultural landowners, famous authors, business owners, and professional athletes and coaches. With his practice centrally located in Denver, Colorado, he also serves the entire state and region west of the Rocky Mountains.
Mr. Hutchins has been admitted to the state bars of Colorado, Nebraska, Wyoming and Wisconsin. He is also licensed to represent clients in the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Wisconsin; U.S. District Court, District of Nebraska; and U.S. District of Colorado. His family wealth transfer planning practice includes probate and estate administration, wills and trusts, business transactions, estate taxation, probate and trust litigation, guardianships and conservatorships.
Mr. Hutchins has been recognized nationally for his extensive knowledge and experience in the field of wealth management. In 2007, Colorado Expression Magazine published an article, "Wealth management with Hutchins & Associates," highlighting the firm's experience. In 2008, he was a conference speaker for the Colorado Livestock Association Annual Convention.
Additional national recognitions include his past oversight as the editor of the Probate & Trust Law Journal published by the Colorado Bar Association. He is a member of the state bar associations in the following states and regions: Colorado, Nebraska, Wyoming, Wisconsin, Denver and the American Bar Association. He also belongs to the Rocky Mountain Estate Planning Council. In his spare time, he enjoys theatre and several outdoor sports, including golf, hunting and fishing.
