A founding partner of The Saylor Law Firm LLP, C. Murray Saylor, Jr., provides a variety of services for his clients in and around Atlanta, Georgia. One of his primary practice areas is estate planning, and in that regard, he prepares and reviews different types of trust documents, including charitable trusts, irrevocable life insurance trusts and living trusts. Mr. Saylor also has experience in the preparation and review of wills, health care and financial powers of attorney, and advance health care directives.
Mr. Saylor's estate administration and probate practice encompasses the representation of both heirs and fiduciaries. He handles many probate controversies through mediation or arbitration when so directed by the court. Mr. Saylor also assists with the preparation of estate and trust tax returns, and he is aided in that regard by his extensive tax experience. He also assists individuals and businesses that are being audited by the Internal Revenue Service. Mr. Saylor's business law work includes the choice of legal entity for a new venture, the preparation of buy-sell and corporate governance documents, and the provision of advice and counsel regarding stock options and other employee benefits, succession plans, and mergers and acquisitions.
Highly respected by his fellow attorneys, Mr. Saylor has received an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell and a 10.0 "Superb" peer review rating through Avvo. He possesses a Bachelor of Science in economics and a Master of Science in accounting from The Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania, and he is a certified public accountant. Admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and Georgia, Mr. Saylor is also admitted to practice before several federal courts, including the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States.
