Camelia Ruffin is the founding partner of The Ruffin Firm that is located in Douglasville, Georgia. Providing representation to clients throughout the greater Atlanta metropolitan area, she divides her practice between estate planning and administration and other aspects of elder law. Ms. Ruffin also has real estate experience, and she is admitted to practice before all Georgia and Florida state courts.

In her estate planning practice, Ms. Ruffin regularly prepares revocable, special needs and other types of trusts, as well as wills, advance health care directives and financial and health care powers of attorney, and she reviews these documents periodically to help to ensure that they accurately represent her clients' current wishes as well as their financial and family circumstances. She also assists agricultural and other businesses with their succession planning in order to take into account what happens after an owner retires, becomes incapacitated or dies. Ms. Ruffin's probate experience includes the settling of estates, encompassing the payment of any debts of the decedent and the timely distribution of estate assets. She has also handled guardianships, and her background includes Medicaid and other types of long-term care planning. Ms. Ruffin's real estate practice includes assisting clients with the purchase and sale of residential properties.

Majoring in accounting, Ms. Ruffin attended the University of Georgia Terry College of Business as an undergraduate, and she received her bachelor of business administration in 2006. Remaining in Athens, she pursued her legal studies at the University of Georgia School of Law, and she was awarded her Juris Doctor in 2009. Ms. Ruffin worked for a Florida law firm before moving back to Georgia and opening her own firm in August 2016.
