An attorney with the law firm of Harris Divorce & Family Law, Alyssa L. Myers represents people throughout the metropolitan area of Atlanta. She focuses on the areas of family law and estate planning with representative matters, including divorce, custody, child support and fathers' rights cases.
Ms. Myers graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of West Georgia before pursuing a Master of Education at Georgia State University. She worked as a high school teacher for two years with the Dekalb County Schools before commencing her legal education at the Georgia State University College of Law. While she was in law school, Ms. Myers was actively involved in the Family Law Society and interned in the Family Law Division of the Superior Court of Fulton County with the Honorable Jane C. Barwick. Ms. Myers was awarded the CALI Excellence for the Future in family law and graduated with her Juris Doctor.
Following law school, Ms. Myers initially gained experience by working as a prosecutor. This helped her to build her litigation skills and provided her with invaluable courtroom experience. She then transitioned to family law in 2018. Ms. Myers handles a large variety of family law matters and provides knowledgeable and compassionate help to her clients.
Ms. Myers co-founded the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund at Georgia State University and served as its president for three years. She is actively involved as a member of the family law section of the State Bar of Georgia, which provides her with the opportunity to network with other attorneys and continue to develop her skills and legal knowledge for the benefit of her clients. Ms. Myers also serves as a guardian ad litem in Forsyth County.
