About Christopher Parvin

Board-certified in probate and estates law, Chris Parvin has dedicated his practice to the complex issues of business law and taxation. Primarily focusing on clients in North Texas, Mr. Parvin has extensive experience in matters such as simple and complex estate planning, trust creation, probate litigation, guardianship, elder law and business law. He has successfully litigated numerous cases in the courtroom, and has negotiated settlements and obtained summary judgments for many other clients. His law firm, Emmert & Parvin, LLP, handles cases throughout Texas. After receiving his Bachelor of Arts in business management from Southwestern A/G University in 1999, Mr. Parvin went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law in 2003, and then received his Master of Laws in 2006 from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. He is admitted to practice law in Texas, before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, the Supreme Court of Texas and the U.S. Supreme Court. A proud Texas native with family roots in the area since 1867, Mr. Parvin has served Cedar Hill since 2009 as an elected city councilman. He has enjoyed various positions throughout North Texas on civic and philanthropic boards, and has served as the magistrate at Dallas County Truancy Court and as a part-time adjunct professor of business law at Northwood University. in addition to practicing law, he also currently serves as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Texas A&M University School of Law.
