In his estate planning practice, Josh assists clients with the drafting of wills, durable powers of attorney, healthcare powers of attorney and living wills, mental health powers of attorney, and various types of trusts, including revocable trusts and special needs trusts. Josh also represents heirs, beneficiaries, fiduciaries and third parties in estate and trust litigation matters. Through the guardianship and conservatorship process, Josh assists family members seeking to protect those individuals who are no longer able to make appropriate decisions regarding their health care or finances. In his mental health practice, Josh assist clients to understand and effectively access Arizona?s uniquely complex mental health system, and counsels clients navigating through the civil commitment process. Josh frequently helps families implement a mental health guardianship so they can properly advocate for their mentally ill loved ones. Additionally, a significant portion of Josh?s mental health practice focuses on ?psychiatric boarding,? a situation in which clients are involuntarily and unlawfully held in an emergency room. For four years after earning his undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona, Josh worked in Maricopa County?s public mental health system. Before and during law school, Josh worked nights at Maricopa County?s crisis line, the Crisis Response Network. Josh is the vice chair of the board of Mental Health America of Arizona and serves on the board of governors of Recovery Empowerment Network (REN). He formerly served on the board for the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Arizona was a member of the Mercy Maricopa Integrated Care Advocacy Committee. Josh joined Frazer, Ryan, Goldberg & Arnold after graduating from the Sandra Day O?Connor College of Law at Arizona State University in 2013. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending time with his wife and family.
