Attorney Daniel B. Newbold is a partner at the law firm of Donahue Fitzgerald LLP in Oakland, California. Mr. Newbold practices trusts and estates law, representing individuals and business clients in Oakland and throughout California. He has over 17 years of legal experience, and, in addition to his experience drafting wills, trusts and other estate planning documents, he is also skilled at resolving disputes that arise in estate planning and estate administration.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Newbold has litigated and resolved complex estate and trust disputes. He is a skilled negotiator and helps achieve successful outcomes for situations involving disagreements about beneficiary designations, trust or will administration and other estate and trust issues.

Recognized for his in-depth knowledge, Mr. Newbold has lectured for groups including the National Business Institute and the Paralegal Association of Santa Clara County. He has also taught at many seminars for professional organizations. He is a member of the California Lawyers Association Taxation Section and Trusts and Estates Section and is chair of the East Bay Trusts and Estates Lawyers Estate Planning/Administration Committee.

Outside of his practice, Mr. Newbold enjoys contributing to his greater community. He serves on the Child Care Law Center Board of Directors.

Mr. Newbold graduated from Arizona State University in 1999 with a bachelor?s degree. He went on to earn his law degree from Santa Clara University School of Law in 2003. In 2004, he received his Master of Laws degree from the University of Washington. He holds a license to practice law before all California state courts.
