She has extensive experience in the planning and administration of high-value estates through the probate and trust process with meticulous attention to detail.

Ms. VanConas completed her undergraduate studies in political science at the University of California, Los Angeles, in 1988 and was conferred with her doctorate in legal studies in 1992 by the Southwestern Law School. After practicing law for 12 years, she continued her education in a five-year night program at Golden Gate University, earning a master?s degree in taxation. Practicing with her family?s law firm, Cohen and Cohen in Camarillo as a sole practitioner for several years, she joined A to Z Law as an associate attorney in 2003.

An established voice in the legal community, Ms. VanConas served as the president of the Ventura County Bar Association in 2010. She also holds memberships with the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Rotary Club of Oxnard and the California Advocates for Nursing Home Reform. She is a regular presenter at CLE courses on topics related to estate planning, probate and trust administration, and special needs trusts.
