About Katherine Becker

Katherine Becker is an estate planning and probate attorney in Santa Paula, California, who protects her clients? interests and those of their loved ones by establishing an estate plan and managing their estates. As a managing partner at the law firm of Jones, Lester, Schuck, Becker & Dehesa, LLP, she has proven her capability of delivering the results her clients need. She helps with a variety of matters such as guardianships, conservatorships, complex trust and probate administration, business transactions, entity formations and more.

Licensed to practice law in California since 2011, Ms. Becker is also qualified to appear before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Central, Northern and Eastern Districts of California. Before partnering with and helping form her current law firm, she worked for several years at other California firms as a paralegal, attorney, and of counsel, and gained extensive probate law experience.ÿ

A graduate of Boston College, Ms. Becker majored in sociology and French and obtained her Bachelor of Arts in 2005. She then attended the University of California, Santa Barbara, and received her paralegal certification in 2007. In 2010, she earned her J.D. with honors from The Santa Barbara and Ventura Colleges of Law, Ventura. While there, she was on the dean?s list and a part of the Student Bar Association and Delta Theta Phi.

Ms. Becker stays involved in her legal community, maintaining active memberships in many legal organizations. She is a member of the Executive Board of the Estate Planning Section of the Ventura County Bar Association. ÿShe is a former president of the Women Lawyers of Ventura County and its current Treasurer. She was a board member and special adviser to the California Young Lawyers Association, and is the past president of the Barristers of Ventura County and Animal Law Section of the VCBA.ÿ

Outside her law practice, Ms. Becker invests her time in ongoing education, community service and professional development. She educates legal professionals seeking continuing education at the National Business Institute, California Lawyers Association, and other continuing education providers. She is a part of the Animal Legal Defense Fund, a legal advocacy organization for animals.
