Co-founder, managing partner and president of Anderson & Jahde, Steven R. Anderson represents clients throughout Wyoming and Colorado. His practice areas include the following: reducing tax debts, tax audits and appeals, individual tax controversy, business tax controversy, criminal and civil tax litigation, estate and trust planning, probate and trust administration and litigation, accountant liability, business planning, guardianships, and conservatorships.
In 1979, Mr. Anderson graduated from the University of Colorado with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis on Accounting. He then attended Metropolitan State College, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Finally, he graduated with his Juris Doctor from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 1984. For a period of time, he was also a Certified Public Accountant in Colorado.
He is admitted to practice in the state of Colorado and before the United States Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit, the United States District Court for the District of Colorado, the United States Tax Court and the United States Court of Federal Claims. For his high ethical standards and long list of successful results, Mr. Anderson holds the highest peer rating possible of AV Preeminent* from Martindale-Hubbell.
Mr. Anderson is a member of the Denver Bar Association, the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association, the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Association for Justice, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the tax section of the American Bar Association. He is also an adjunct professor in the Graduate Tax Program at his alma mater, the University of Denver.
