Attorney John Cleveland Hill is the managing partner of Hill & Watchko, LLC, in Alpharetta, Georgia. Mr. Hill focuses his practice on estate planning, trusts and wills, elder law, asset protection and wealth preservation, and fiduciary litigation serving clients throughout the Atlanta metropolitan area.

A sixth generation Georgian, Mr. Hill graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor?s degree from Oglethorpe University and earned his law degree from Mercer University School of Law, graduating cum laude. While attending law school, he sat on the Mercer Law Review editorial board. He has been licensed to practice law in Georgia since 2004.

Before founding his own practice in 2010, Mr. Hill practiced at two private Atlanta-based firms, including a large national law firm. Over the course of his career, he has received recognition and awards for his accomplishments, including being named in Georgia Trend Magazine?s ?Legal Elite? in estates, taxes and wills, SuperLawyers Rising Star for Estate Planning and Probate, and the ?10 in 10 Young Professionals to Watch? award by the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce.

Actively involved in his legal community, the fiduciary law section of the State Bar of Georgia, the real property and probate section of the American Bar Association, and has lectured on estate planning topics at various conferences in the Atlanta area and in Florida.

Mr. Hill enjoys giving back to his community by volunteering and serving in leadership roles. He has served for a decade on the board of trustees of Oglethorpe University, where he has chaired the Board's Mission Fulfillment Committee which oversees academic affairs and campus life.ÿ He serves on the board of directors for Act Together Ministries. He also serves on the Forsyth County, Georgia Tripartite Committee which governs the County's indigent defense system.ÿ ÿMr. Hill proudly served on the Oglethorpe University I.W. ?Ike? Cousins Center for Science and Innovation?s campaign steering committee and provides pro bono services at Georgia Appleseed Center for Law & Justice and has offered pro bono legal services to area police and firefighters.ÿÿ
