During law school, she was the president of the Women Law Students Association and won the Outstanding Student Award from the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers.

Prior to partnering with Miles Hansford & Tallant, LLC, Ms. Giles worked as a law clerk for Judges Robert W. Adamson, David Motes, Joseph H. Booth and Currie Mingledorff at the Piedmont Circuit of the 10th Superior Court, District of Georgia. She is admitted to practice in all state courts of Georgia, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit.
