Rex Lee Patterson is the founder of Patterson Law LLC located in Fort Wayne, Indiana, established in 2012. Mr. Patterson is a family law attorney with over a decade of experience and represents clients throughout the state of Indiana.

Rex is a Certified Family Law Specialist by the Indiana State Bar Association Family Law Certification Board since 2017, and there are only approximately 70 attorneys in the entire state with that certification.ÿ Mr. Patterson has experience working with divorce, child custody, juvenile paternity, adoption, alimony, child support, guardianship, prenuptial agreements, visitation and other issues. He is a registered family law mediator and serves as a guardian ad litem and parenting coordinator.

In addition to family law, Mr. Patterson has experience with estate planning, personal injury, criminal defense, and real estate law. He helps clients with both Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcies, assists with estate planning matters such as drafting wills. He also has experience in personal injury law, arguing on behalf of clients in cases involving automobile accidents, catastrophic injury and wrongful death.ÿÿ

Mr. Patterson recently graduated from ISBA's Leadership Development Academy Class X, where he received significant training in the areas of leadership in the law within his community, region, and state.ÿ In the last 2 years, Mr. Patterson has added 2 Associate Attorneys to his practice.ÿ Further, he received a 2nd Place finish in the Fort Wayne Reader's Choice - Best Family Law Attorney in 2020, and 1st Place in the same category in 2021.ÿ ÿ

After graduating from Ball State University with a bachelor?s degree, Mr. Patterson earned his law degree from Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law. He holds a license to practice law before all Indiana state courts and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana. Following law school, he practiced at a private firm before opening his own firm in 2012.
