Attorney Mark W. Dobbins is a partner at Tilford Dobbins & Schmidt, PLLC, in Louisville, Kentucky, one of the city?s oldest and most-respected law firms, founded in 1901. Mr. Dobbins concentrates his practice on divorce, family law, estate planning and probate, municipal law and general civil litigation, serving clients in the Louisville area and throughout the surrounding counties.
Mr. Dobbins has over four decades of legal experience serving individuals, business owners and communities in Kentucky. Over his time in practice, he has successfully litigated and settled numerous complex cases on behalf of his clients, providing dedicated and solid legal representation.
In honor of his achievements, Louisville Magazine named Mr. Dobbins a ?top lawyer? and the Louisville Pro Bono Consortium recognized him for his volunteer efforts. He holds an AV Preeminent* peer-review rating from Martindale-Hubbell, in recognition of his high legal ability and ethical standards.
In addition to managing his law practice, Mr. Dobbins stays active in his legal community. He belongs to the Louisville Bar Association, the Kentucky Bar Association and the American Bar Association and is a former chair of Citizens for Better Judges and the Louisville Pro Bono Consortium. He sits on the board of directors of the Cabbage Patch Settlement House and is a previous board chair of the Neighborhood House.
Mr. Dobbins received a bachelor?s degree from Emory University and earned his law degree from the University of Louisville Louis D. Brandeis School of Law. He obtained his license to practice law in 1978, which qualified him to appear before all Kentucky state courts. He also holds a license before federal courts and the Supreme Court of the United States.
