Gregory J. Logan is certified as a specialist in estate planning and administration by the Louisiana Board of Legal Specialization, an organization that the Louisiana State Bar Association established in 1993. As the founder of The Logan Law Firm, LLC, he concentrates on that area of the law and represents clients throughout the Lafayette metropolitan area. Mr. Logan has been admitted to practice in Louisiana since 1994 and in Texas since 2006. He is additionally admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana; the U.S. Tax Court; and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit.

Mr. Logan has extensive experience in the preparation and review of last wills and testaments, living and irrevocable trusts, advance medical directives and health care and financial powers of attorney. While many of his clients have significant assets, he tailors every estate plan to the particular needs, circumstances and objectives of each individual client. Unlike in other states, ?probate? in Louisiana solely means proving the existence of a will. Once that has been established, the process of distributing its assets is called ?succession,? and Mr. Logan works with heirs, beneficiaries and executors to help ensure that it is carried out smoothly and efficiently. Outside of the estate planning area, he has helped clients who want to grow their families through private or intrafamily adoptions.ÿ

Mr. Logan majored in accounting at what was then known as the University of Southwestern Louisiana (now called the University of Louisiana at Lafayette), receiving a bachelor of science in 1990. He then pursued his legal education at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, and he served on the Loyola Law Review before graduating in 1994. Mr. Logan is held in high regard by his colleagues and is Distinguished peer-review rated* through Martindale-Hubbell.
