About Marc S. Levine

A partner at Handler & Levine, LLC, Marc S. Levine focuses his practice on estate planning and administration. Based in Bethesda, Maryland, he represents clients throughout Montgomery County and other parts of the greater District of Columbia metropolitan area. As an undergraduate, Mr. Levine attended Boston University, where he majored in journalism and received a Bachelor of Arts in 1988. He then pursued his legal education at The George Washington University Law School, and in 1992, he was awarded his Juris Doctor with honors.

In his estate planning practice, Mr. Levine prepares and reviews wills, advance health care directives, several types of revocable and irrevocable trusts, business succession plans, and financial and health care powers of attorney. He tailors each document to meet the particular objectives and set of circumstances for each individual client, many of whom are employees of the federal government, and that has led to him being given a security clearance. Mr. Levine?s estate administration practice involves his guiding heirs and beneficiaries through what can often be a lengthy and complex probate process, and he has represented executors, trustees and other fiduciaries along with preparing state and federal estate tax returns.

Mr. Levine has also handled will contests, allegations of fiduciary breaches and other types of probate litigation. He is highly regarded by his colleagues for the overall high quality of his work, and this has led to his receipt of an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell, among other honors. Admitted to practice in Maryland since 1992, Mr. Levine is additionally admitted to practice in Virginia and the District of Columbia.
