While in law school, Mr. Jacobsen served as a student attorney at the Minneapolis City Attorney's Office.

An active member of the Minnesota State Bar Association, the First District Bar Association and the Rice County Bar Association, Mr. Jacobsen has been an active member of the Northfield community serving as a board member of Northfield Montessori, Northfield Sertoma, and Northfield Enterprise Center.
