Mr. Burton has a Bachelor of Science degree in architecture from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. While pursuing architecture, he was also a member at Habitat for Humanity and a mentor for the Architectural Youth Program at the university. Prior to practicing law, Mr. Burton designed large commercial buildings as an architect in 25 states throughout the country. This experience has contributed to him understanding the challenges that design professionals, contractors and owners face, which helps him empathize with his clients, providing stalwart legal representation.

With a Juris Doctor degree from the Mitchell Hamline School of Law, Mr. Burton served as chair for Out!Law, which is the law school?s LGBTQ advocacy organization. Post law school, Mr. Burton was an associate attorney at a prominent personal injury law firm. After which, Mr. Burton was a judicial law clerk for a renowned judge in Rice County at the Third Judicial District.ÿ

Admitted to practice in the state of Minnesota, Mr. Burton is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association. An enthusiastic contributor to help people who cannot afford it, Mr. Burton volunteers with the Volunteer Lawyers Network providing pro bono representation.
