About Martha C. Brown

Attorney Martha C. Brown has focused on developing a firm that concentrates on the needs of the elderly, incapacitated and those with disabilities. Recognizing an underserved population of clients in guardianship cases, Ms. Brown learned everything she could about the legal needs and solutions for clients with disabilities. Her firm, Martha C. Brown & Associates, LLC, is located in Saint Louis, Missouri.

After joining the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Ms. Brown recognized the importance of Missouri law as it related to the new and emerging area of elder law. She has continued to educate herself and serve organizations that help the elderly and disabled. She has become involved in the Alzheimer's Association, Mid-East Area Agency on Aging and many other organizations. In 2000 Ms. Brown became a CELA (certified elder law attorney.) She is considered one of the leading elder law attorneys in the nation, and in 2008 was honored with the Powley Award by the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys for her leadership in promoting a greater understanding of the rights and needs of elders and persons with special needs, and of how elder law attorneys advocate for those rights.
