Ms. Alsop then entered private practice in 1997, and she gained elder law experience at area law firms before opening her own practice in January 2011. Ms. Alsop is admitted to practice before all Missouri and Illinois state courts as well as before the Supreme Court of the United States. The former chair of both the Elder Law Committee of The Missouri Bar and the Advocacy/Litigation Section of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys Inc., she is an active participant in several other organizations. Her memberships include the Academy of Special Needs Planners and the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys. She currently serves as the President of the American Parkinson's Disease Association--St. Louis Chapter and has served on the boards of the Downs Syndrome Association and Aging Ahead (the Meals on Wheels Organization).
