About Vincent J. Russo

The founder of Russo Law Group, P.C., Vincent J. Russo focuses his practice on estate planning and elder law. From the firm's main office in Garden City, New York, he represents clients throughout Nassau and Suffolk counties. Admitted to practice in New York since 1979, Mr. Russo is also admitted to practice in Florida and Massachusetts as well as before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York and the U.S. Tax Court. He has been certified as an elder law attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation.

In his estate planning practice, Mr. Russo regularly prepares and reviews wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, financial and health care powers of attorney, and advance medical directives. He often suggests strategies such as planned gift giving that will reduce the burden of federal estate taxes, and he has also helped business owners prepare succession plans in the event of their retirement, incapacity or death.

Mr. Russo's elder law background has included Medicaid and long-term care planning both at home and in nursing home facilities. He has also handled a variety of estate administration and probate matters, including guardianships and providing advice and counsel to executors and other fiduciaries. Mr. Russo has received a great deal of recognition from his colleagues for the high quality of his work in all of these endeavors, including an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell and a 10.0 "Superb" peer review rating through Avvo.
