Neil D. Katz is the managing partner of Katz Chwat, P.C., located in Melville, New York. Providing representation to business and individual clients throughout Nassau and Suffolk counties and other parts of the New York City metropolitan area. Mr. Katz provides assistance and guidance to clients with their complex estate planning matters, tax planning at both the federal and state level in all areas of taxation and represents clients in corporate transactions such as acquisitions.ÿ He is also the firm's managing partner and is responsible for the administration of the firm and its varied practice areas.

Mr. Katz received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Hofstra University in 1988. He then went on to attend the University of Pennsylvania School of Law and was awarded his Juris Doctor in 1991. He is also a 1994 recipient of an LL.M. in taxation from New York University School of Law.

Admitted to practice in New York, Mr. Katz has represented his clients before the U.S. Tax Court, various administrative levels of the Internal Revenue Service and New York state and New York City taxing authorities. He is a developer of and the principal lecturer for Katz Tax Seminars LLC, an organization that is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy for continuing education geared toward tax professionals. Mr. Katz is a noted provider of tax education to the CPA community, where he is frequently called on to lecture for CPA firm and the professional organizations, including the New York Society of CPAs and the National Conference of CPA practitioners. He is a member of the American, New York State and Nassau and Suffolk County Bar Associations, as well as being a member of both the Nassau and Suffolk Estate Planning Councils, having previously served as the President of the Suffolk County council. For over 25 years he was a professor of Taxation in the Frank G. Zarb School of Business at Hofstra University, where he taught in both the undergraduate accounting program and the school's graduate-level taxation program.ÿ
