Richard J. Cea is a partner at Brooklyn, New York-based Wingate, Kearney & Cullen, LLP. In 1974, Mr. Cea graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Arts in government and international relations. He then attended Fordham University School of Law and was awarded his Juris Doctor in 1977. Mr. Cea also holds certificates in labor relations studies from the Cornell University Industrial and Labor Relations School and in Estate and Gift Tax Planning from the New York University School of Professional Studies. Admitted to practice in New York, he is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States. Highly regarded by his fellow professionals, Mr. Cea has received an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell.

Mr. Cea is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the Catholic Cemetery Conference, the New York State Association of Cemeteries and the Catholic Lawyers Guild of Brooklyn. He is also a member of the board of directors of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul in the Diocese of Brooklyn. Mr. Cea is often asked to deliver presentations to professional groups on topics related to his practice areas.
