Clayton Cheek has dedicated his entire career to assisting businesses and individuals throughout eastern North Carolina. His legal practice focuses on issues involved in Chapter 11, Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcies; workouts and alternatives to bankruptcy; corporate law; and estate planning and administration. A graduate of Lake Forest, where he received his law degree as well as his MBA, Mr. Cheek has also shared his knowledge through his work as an adjunct professor of business law at Elizabeth City State University.
Mr. Cheek is a member of the North Carolina State Bar and the American Bar Association. Formerly, he was a partner in the law firm of Hornthal, Riley, Ellis & Maland, L.L.P., in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. His current firm, Oliver Friesen Cheek, PLLC, is located in New Bern, North Carolina.
