Molly Dear Abshire has been licensed to practice law in the State of Texas since 1993, and isÿBoard Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Estate Planning and Probate Law. She isÿCertified as an Elder Law Attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation.ÿ She received a J.D. from South Texas College of Law and her B.A. in English from Texas A&M University in 1989.

Ms. Abshire is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and has served on the Board of the Texas Chapter of NAELA.ÿ She was named Lawyer of the Year by Texas' Best Lawyers in 2012, and is a Fellow of The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel.

Ms. Abshire co-authors a column in the Houston Chronicle called Elder Law Notes and is a regular speaker on Elder Law topics.ÿ

She co-authored Save My Home! Saving Your Home, Farm or Ranch from Medicaid Estate Recovery in Texas, and Thomson West's Texas Elder Law 2013-2014, Texas Practice Series, Volume 51.
