About Jennifer C. Vermillion

Jennifer C. Vermillion is actively licensed to practice law in the state of Texas, the state of Louisiana, in the US District Court of the Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas, the US Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims, and before the Supreme Court of the United States. She practices primarily in the areas of probate, trust administration, estate planning, elder law, veterans affairs, and serves as an ad litem attorney in the Dallas County Probate and District Tax Courts. While attending SMU, Jennifer completed an externship with the United States Department of Justice, Tax Division. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Louisiana State Bar Association, and the Dallas Bar Association where she has served as a Chair of the Legal Line Committee and Chair of the Pro Bono Activities Committee. Jennifer also has served as volunteer attorney for the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program and the Human Rights Initiative of North Texas.

Jennifer has taught as an Affiliate Professor at the UNT Dallas College of Law and from 2018 to the present she has collaborated with Lexis Nexis as an author/editor for the probate volume of the Dorsaneo Texas Litigation Guide.
Jennifer also serves as a private arbitrator for FINRA's Dispute Resolution Services and has served as both consulting and a testifying expert witness on Louisiana law in Texas probate litigation.
