About Taylor R. Tomanka

An attorney at Fergus & Tomanka, PLLC, Taylor R. Tomanka's varied practice encompasses family law matters, estate planning and administration, and business formation and transactions. A native of Texas, she represents clients throughout her home state from the firm's office in Abilene. Admitted to practice before all Texas state courts, Ms. Tomanka is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas.

In her family law practice, Ms. Tomanka assists people who are contemplating or going through a divorce and who thus need to deal with such issues as child custody and visitation, alimony and child support, and the division of complex assets and debts. She also helps clients who are seeking the modification or enforcement of existing parenting and support court orders, and her other family law experience includes the preparation and review of prenuptial and postmarital agreements, paternity establishment and disputes, grandparents' rights, and the obtaining of protective orders for victims of domestic violence. Ms. Tomanka's estate planning and administration background includes the preparation of wills, financial and health care powers of attorney, and advance medical directives, and she also has helped clients be appointed as guardians for minor children.

Ms. Tomanka attended The University of Texas at Austin's Moody College of Communication, where she majored in public relations and received a Bachelor of Science with honors in 2011. She then enrolled at Texas Tech University, and in 2014, she obtained both a Master of Business Administration degree from the school's Rawls College of Business and her Juris Doctor from Texas Tech University School of Law. While she was there, Ms. Tomanka served on the Texas Tech Administrative Law Journal. Her professional affiliations include the Texas Young Lawyers Association.
