As partner at Romano & Sumner, PLLC, Paul A. Romano represents clients in Houston, Texas, in matters related to estate planning, probate, trusts, wills, contested right of survivorship accounts, guardianship contests and contested beneficiary designation forms. Fluent in English and Spanish, he is certified in Estate Planning and Probate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and is admitted to practice in the state of Texas.

Mr. Romano served in the United States Army for five years before earning his Juris Doctor from the University of Texas School of Law in 2002. Prior to his service, he graduated from the University of Texas in 1993 with his Bachelor of Business Administration in finance. He is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas.

While in the service, Mr. Romano was assigned to many places, including Honduras, Germany and Korea. He then decided to pursue his long-time goal of becoming a lawyer and now has extensive experience in defending and prosecuting claims against guardians, trustees, administrators and executors. Mr. Romano represents clients in the following counties: Wharton, Fort Bend, Brazoria, Harris, Jackson, Victoria and Montgomery.

Mr. Romano is a member of the Real Property, Trust & Estate Law Section of the American Bar Association, the Real Estate, Property and Trust Law Section of the State Bar of Texas, the Probate, Trusts and Estates Section of the Houston Bar Association and the Probate, Trusts and Estates Section of the Fort Bend County Bar Association. Mr. Romano is also an active member of the Bar Association of the Fifth Federal Circuit and the Texas Bar College.
