About Gay Woodhouse

Gay Woodhouse served as Wyoming's first female attorney general for the state of Wyoming for two years. Prior to this, she was an assistant United States attorney for five years. Now, she is a partner at Woodhouse Roden Nethercott, LLC, and continues to serve clients across the state of Wyoming.

Her legal experience spans across a wide range of positions, which makes it possible for her to take on cases across most areas. Some of Ms. Woodhouse's practice areas include personal injury, land use, planning and development, estate planning, business planning, trust and estates, employment and criminal law.

Ms. Woodhouse completed her B.A. at the University of Wyoming in 1977. That same year, she also completed her J.D. at the University of Wyoming College of Law. She is admitted to practice in all Wyoming state courts, the United States District Court for the District of Wyoming, the United States Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit and the Supreme Court of United States.

After decades of working in the legal community, Ms. Woodhouse has served in leadership positions for several law organizations. She currently serves on the Judiciary Nominating Commission. Previously, she also served as a bar commissioner for Laramie County, First Judicial District, and president of the Wyoming State Bar.

Ms. Woodhouse is also actively involved in serving her community. She is involved with the Wyoming Senior Olympics Board of Directors and Cheyenne Rotary.
